The 3.8 km swim in the lac d’Allier will be a spectacular swim, with spectators near you at all times. The cut-off time for the swim is set to 9h20, all athletes have to be out of the water. Athletes, who fail to comply with this, will not be allowed to continue in the race.

The swim cap provided at the registration, is provided for safety, and shall be worn at all times throughout the swim.

To enter the race you have to pass through the official entrance of the starting area. There will be a timing mat to pass; so all athletes are registered as starters in the race.

The race will start in the water. If you are not the best swimmer, take it easy and let the fast ones go first and then find your own rhythm and enjoy the water.

The swim is marked with buoys. Should you be in any kind of need; kayaks, lifeguards  will be in the water to help you.

The water temperature at Lac d’Allier is expected to be around 20-22 °C. With a temperature below 24 °C wetsuits will be allowed and recommended. Only wetsuits in accordance to the FFTRI rules are permitted. If wetsuits are not permitted, a swimsuit may bnot be worn on your race suit .. No fins, paddles, snorkels or other floating devices are allowed!

When entering the water, please make sure your timing chip is fastened securely.

You will have access to Lac d’Allier every morning during the private training from Parc Omnisports.

Instructions for training in the days before the race : It is not permitted to swim in the Lake d'Allier outside the allocated training times on the program without penalty.
Please respect the rules enforced by the organiser.

When training, remember a colored swim cap for safety.
